Aurora Major Crime Unit Seeking Community’s Help with ‘25 Homicide
(March 30, 2026) – The Aurora Police Department Major Crime Homicide Unit is seeking the community’s help with information about a homicide that occurred last year in west Aurora.
Just after midnight on July 20, 2025, Aurora police patrol officers responded to a report of shots fired at a house party in the 16000 block of East Bails Place. When officers arrived at the scene, they located a large scene in the street with multiple spent shell casings of various calibers.
A short time later, officers received a report of a male suffering from a gunshot wound who had been dropped off in the street approximately a half mile away. The victim, 16, was accompanied by a juvenile female who was seeking help. Both individuals had been dropped off by a white Ford F-150 pickup.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The investigation later determined the victim had been shot at the house party.
The investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone with any information about the house party or the shooting is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720.913.STOP (7867). Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
