Donate to the Aurora History Museum

As the museum has grown, there is a critical need for a new storage facility to sustain the long-term preservation, conservation and care of Aurora's history for future generations. Be an Aurora history hero and donate to our cause.

The Aurora History Museum commemorates three milestones this year with a Grand Celebration event in honor of the 25th Annual Festival of Wreaths, the 45th Anniversary of the founding of the Aurora History Museum, the 10th Anniversary of the Restoration of Trolley Trailer 610 and the Ruth Fountain Gallery.

• Saturday, Nov. 16

• 3 to 6 p.m.

• Aurora History Museum, 15051 E. Alameda Parkway

The event's proceeds will go towards a new curatorial storage facility. A portion of the funding will also support the museum's education programs and community events.

Visit Santa on Trolley Trailer #610

Come take part in a unique photo opportunity for a great cause. For the first time ever, Santa is making a stop at the Aurora History Museum and trading in his red sleigh for Aurora's iconic Trolley Trailer 610.

Santa will be at the museum from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16 for the community to take pictures with.* Visitors can also enjoy sweet treats, face painting and museum scavenger hunts. Don't forget to stop by the Community Gallery to view this year's lineup of wreaths that are part of the annual Festival of Wreaths fundraiser.

Cost: Suggested donation of $5 per group or donate what you can.

Sponsor a wreath for our annual fundraiser

The 25th annual Festival of Wreaths features wreaths decorated and donated by local businesses, organizations and individuals throughout Colorado.

Wreaths are available for $10 and can be picked up at the museum starting Sunday, Oct. 1 and are due for return no later than Friday, Nov. 1 by 4 p.m. The $10 sponsorship can be paid by cash, check or credit card.

Donors are also welcome to provide their own wreaths for the fundraiser. Small businesses may also include gift cards, certificates or other items to accompany their wreath. Businesses are also welcome to provide gift cards or certificates for the online auction fundraiser.

Participate in live and online auctions

All donated wreaths will be displayed at the Aurora History Museum’s Community Gallery from Tuesday, Nov. 5 to Sunday, Dec. 6.

During this time, wreaths on display are sold to the highest bidder either through an online auction or at the live auction during the Grand Celebration event held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Aurora History Museum.
