In Colorado, we rely heavily on snowmelt for our water supply. Coloradans know the weather here can be unpredictable, making it difficult to know how much water will be available each summer. We can experience several years of drought and then receive record snow levels.
It's important to remember that Aurora has a semi-arid climate. Aurora's snow and rain are about half of the average annual precipitation for the United States, so it's important that we all do our part to help conserve water.
By conserving water, you help protect our water future and your wallet. Staff is here to help, so if you have additional questions, call 303.739.7195 or email [email protected]. You can also view the Aurora Water 2015 Municipal Water Efficiency Plan.
