Description: This sculpture stands 15 feet high and is named after the Mayan god of fire and lightning. The piece allows the viewer's eyes to dance along the surface, much like staring into a fire. This artwork has been resorted and relocated from Old Fire Station #5.

"Colorado Consonance"

Description: This is a series of eight small works created for existing niches in the jury room, a space which is a sacred container where delicate conversations unfold, conflicts find resolution, and trust is nurtured. The intention of this series is to create coherent artworks, representing themes of justice while highlighting local wildlife and ecology as key symbols and reflections of the community of Aurora.

"Ticker Tape"

Description: The colorful sculpture refers to the historic ticker tape parades that greeted returning soldiers after World War II. At night, the interactive LED lighting feature will briefly flicker a responsive greeting to those who walk close by. This artwork represents a partnership between the Aurora Housing Authority and the Art in Public Places Program.

“Listen to the Whispering Winds”

Description: A unique and dynamic experience awaits visitors to Windy Plumes Park in Green Valley Ranch. The concept for "Listen to the Whispering Winds" references native leaf and grass forms and the colors of the high plains. These design elements are combined into a swooping, swirling, environment that forms an attractive sculpture and wayfinding element while also serving as a seating area and a place for people to gather along the Regional Trail.
