VACCINATION CLINICS

Calico with vaccinesThe Aurora Animal Shelter hosts a mini weekly vaccine clinic and larger quarterly vaccine clinics throughout the year. Our clinic offers a variety of vaccines for dogs and cats, microchips and Aurora pet licensing.

2026 AURORA ANIMAL SHELTER VACCINE CLINICS

Location: Aurora Animal Shelter, 15750 E 32nd Ave.
Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., line begins at 8 a.m. 
Limited to the first 100 people

Remaining events for this year:

Sunday, August 23rd, 2026
Sunday, November 22nd, 2026

Every Thursday, unless otherwise noted, from 11am to 1pm, the shelter will have a mini vaccination clinic on a walk in basis for up to 15 people.
- You must be in line (and signed in) by 12:30pm.  
- License prices are normal pricing during our vaccine clinics and are still required for all Aurora residents. 
No clinic on Thursday, April 9th, 2026

Please be sure to bring previous vaccination records if applicable. All dogs must be on leash or in a carrier, and all cats must be in a carrier.

We accept cash, check or card. Please be aware that a purchase of a pet license is required for City of Aurora residents who purchase a rabies vaccination.

*To receive a 3-year rabies vaccine, proof of a previous rabies vaccine that is no more than 6 months expired is required.

Remembering how often to vaccinate your pet and with what vaccines can be a challenge for most of us. However, the Aurora Animal Shelter has you covered! Below are the recommended schedules based on your pet's age.

CITY OF AURORA PET LICENSE

A pet license is required by law for all pets living within the Aurora city limits. A pet license can only be issued or renewed with proof of a current rabies vaccine. Pet licenses are available for purchase during the vaccine clinic. During the vaccination clinics, it is mandatory for Aurora residents to purchase a pet license for each pet receiving a rabies vaccination.


MICROCHIPS

$10 Microchips. Not only do we offer microchips during our clinics, but we also allow walk-ins during regular business hours. However, we ask that you arrive no later than an hour before closing to ensure that our staff has plenty of time to gather your information, complete the transaction, and implant the microchip before closing.
