CORRECTION: The date of this tragic event was May 14, 2019 and not May 24, 2019 as previously reported.
On May 24, 2019 at 7:26 P.M. Aurora Police Officers responded to the 9000 block of East 16th Avenue on reports of a possible dead person in the area.
Upon officers arrival they located a victim sitting in a vehicle suffering from an unknown injury. The victim, an adult male in his 30's, was pronounced at the scene.
Positive identification of the victim, and notification of the next-of-kin will be done by the Adams County Coroner’s Office. The Coroner will also determine the cause of death.
This is now being investigated by the Aurora Police Major Crimes/Homicide Unit. We ask anyone who may be a witness, or has information about this homicide, to please call Aurora Police Agent Huber at 303-739-6090.
